The 2022 Volvo V60 is one of the very few wagons still offered to Canadian buyers, but this is not its only differentiating factor.
The style
The 2022 Volvo V60 is a very sleek and elegant wagon that can easily adapt to different environments depending on the version you choose. Indeed, the regular V60 is a premium and tasteful vehicle that is at home in an urban setting, the R-design and Polestar variant are dynamic wagons with a distinctly aggressive style that makes them stand out on the highway and on tight, twisty roads while the Cross country is a great blend of sophistication and ruggedness, perfect for country roads and more remote areas.
The powertrains
The 2022 Volvo V60 is available with three very advanced powertrains that are both powerful and efficient. The standard engine is the T5 2.0L turbocharged engine that delivers 250 horsepower with a fuel consumption of 7.7L / 100km on the highway. The available T6 powertrain adds a supercharger to the same engine in order to increase the output up to 316 horsepower while reducing the fuel consumption to 7.5L / 100km on the highway. The T8 Recharge is a top-of-the-line plug-in hybrid powertrain that uses an electric motor on the rear axle in addition to the turbocharged and supercharged engine in order to produce 462 horsepower and allow around 64 kilometers of electric range.
The safety
The 2022 Volvo V60 continues the tradition established by Volvo vehicles over the years for outstanding safety by using many of the most advanced driver assistance and safety technologies available today. For example, the V60 comes standard with the lane keeping assist and the oncoming lane mitigation, two similar systems that help keep the vehicle in its lane and prevent a collision with an oncoming vehicle. In addition, the blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, also standard, help you see what’s behind you while you keep your focus on the road ahead.
