Volvo Cars Canada is delighted to announce that its iconic XC90 has been chosen as the Best Large Premium Utility Vehicle in Canada for 2023 by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). This recognition comes shortly after the XC40 Recharge was awarded AJAC's Green Utility Vehicle of the Year for 2022, further cementing Volvo's exemplary track record in providing top-of-the-line vehicles. Experts at AJAC evaluate vehicles throughout the year and share their findings with consumers and potential buyers to help them decide which vehicle to purchase.
The 2023 Canadian Car and Utility Vehicle of the Year awards saw more than 1700 ballots cast by AJAC experts for newly redesigned, refreshed, and carried-over vehicles from previous model years. On the evaluation parameters of acceleration, braking, vehicle dynamics, maneuverability and off-road capability (where applicable), the XC90 made an impressive showing with its sophisticated style, and luxurious appointments, all coupled with important safety features - thereby making it a top choice in the Large Premium Utility segment.
“We’re pleased to see the continued recognition from the experts at AJAC,” said Matt Girgis, managing director, Volvo Car Canada Ltd. “With its long and esteemed history, the XC90 continues to impress, and we are thrilled to add this award to what has become a growing list of accolades for our brand.”
