Volvo On Call also allows you to lock or unlock your doors remotely using your mobile phone. This is actually more useful than it may appear in winter because sometimes, it is hard to lock or unlock your vehicle doors using using your finger if you have gloves on. Also, sometimes your vehicle's key fob won't detect the car or vice versa if it is inside a thick coat pocket. This isn't a problem with Volvo On Call.
