The ecological materials
The new Volvo C40 Recharge is not only the first dedicated electric vehicle from Volvo, but it is also the first to be made according to the brand’s new philosophy in terms of sustainability. This means that the C40 is the first Volvo model where leather is completely banished in favor of recycled and sustainable materials. This reduces the company’s carbon footprint by lowering its dependence on the cattle industry and allowing it to use materials that would have otherwise been buried or lost at sea.
The style
The most striking detail of the 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge is the distinctive look that gives it a sporty appearance that is very different from most of its competition. Despite having a roofline like no other Volvo before, the C40 Recharge is very easy to identify as one due to the styling cues it shares with other models in the range, particularly the XC40 Recharge, on which it is based. This includes the Thor’s hammer headlamps at the front and the taillamps that are exclusive to the C40 while being reminiscent of the other models.
The technology
The 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge is equipped with all of the latest technologies from Volvo in terms of safety, comfort, and convenience. This includes the adaptive cruise control with Pilot Assist, which can combine to take complete control of the vehicle for short distances, while you pay attention to the road around. In addition, the 360-degrees camera system helps you park with ease in every situation. In terms of powertrain, the 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge is equipped with a 75-kWh battery which allows it to drive for 364 kilometers on a charge, despite having two motors that can produce up to 402 horsepower.
