The entire Volvo vehicle lineup has received the coveted IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus, the highest possible safety rating a vehicle can receive in North America. In total, Volvo received 15 IIHS TSP+ awards.
To earn a Top Safety Pick+ award, a vehicle must receive the top grade in every IIHS crash test as well as receive the best grade in driver assistance technologies and headlights.
